El 20 de diciembre de 2007 se retransmitía en Radio Norte de Tenerife, como parte del programa Mextura2, la primera parte del monográfico musical que hice sobre Pakistán. País de los más poblados del mundo, que se divide en numerosas y variadas culturas y grupos étnicos, de las que surge una riqueza musical exquisita: los panyabíes, cachemiros, sindhis, y muhajirs en el este; las culturas tribales de los baluchi y pastún en el oeste; y las comunidades antiguas dardic y tajik en el norte. Tiene una altísima tasa de pobreza, además de ser unos de los países más afectados por el cambio climático con inundaciones devastadoras, y es también uno de los países con mayor brecha de género entre hombre y mujer donde aún abundan los matrimonios concertados. Es la segunda comunidad asiática, más numerosa en España.
